Is this a dream? Is this an early Christmas Miracle? Or Am I still in Turkey Coma? I need to be pinched because Gardnner-Webb won its first Basketball game, and it was the HOMEOPENER! Great job guys. Let’s keep the hope alive!
Seeing this with my own two eyes, I must say that this game against University of Virginia-Wise was a hard fought game. The boys were on their toes. They rebounded every ball possible, and the points just kept on coming. I must say that I am excited to see the team go on and contine this winning streak, but hey, you never know. Good Job boys! The next game the bulldogs will play is away in their first conference match at Radford Universtiy.
Good Luck
Until Next Ttime…Stay Fly

As many of you may know, On November 26th, while many of us were preapring for turkey day. People in Mumbai, India were held hostage about 160 people were killed and 300 were injured. Cnn were the first to report that masked entered through boat and attacked innocent people. Many of the targets were people of Western decent. Two Americans, who just happened to a father and his daughter, a jewish rabbi and his wife, who’s their son escaped and is turning 2 tomorrow. As far as I am concered there is still fighting going on and hostages are still being held against their will. Many Indian goverment officals are blaming the Pakistnian goverment.
As I watch this, you can’t help but to wonder who is causing this? How can this Happen? Is this a sign of what’s to come? All I would say is to pray and hope that something like this won’t happen again. As of now I can’t find anything that will help us as Americans should try to help those in need. Once I find some organization that are willing to help I will let you know.

Well I hope everyone is full and has gotten plenty of sleep from there Thanksgiving and I hope everyone found something to be thankful for. Me, well I am thankful for my family, my friends, and those TARHEELS! They won the Maui Invintational bething the Notre Dame Irish by fifteen points. The game started off slow with the Irish in the lead for a while but the heels have got there speed and game back just in time to end the half and in the second half. Tyler Hansbrough was amazing with 34 points and was doing awesome being battling fatigue and the fact that they played about 3 games in 3 days straight. But the heels will have a break before sunday’s game against in-state rivals UNC-Asheville at the Dean Center Sunday…
LET’S GO HEELS!!!!!!

Now, this where I am going to turn a little sour on College Basketball. Gardner-Webb University now 0-4 in the Big South Conference, lost the South Carolina Gamecocks. WHAT! You would think that after the four point lost to Oklahoma the team would start to wake up and step up thier game. Apparently not! I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt that the past couple of games were really close and they probably got tired towards the end. but they lost by 15! Looking at the stats the team have not been in there A-game. now being a student, people would tell me that I should cheer for them regardless and stop bashing them. I’m not bashing them. I am lightly boosting spirits. According to the rivials website, the gamecock team was just faster and on the ball more.
The Men’s Team will play their first home game University of Virgina-Wise on Saturday! Let’s Pull a win boys.GO BULLDOGS!

Remember the last post I said that Roy Williams should be proud of his boys. I kinda take it back. Williams and the Tarhell got out of this game by the skin of their teeth. Fouls every other time you looked. The boys weren’t on point last night. It’s kinda scary when you look at it. Danny Greeen led the night with 21 points during the game while Ed Davis had 13 rebounds. I am proud of the boys. But they will have to step their game when they playa nationally ranked team tonight. This will be the challenge. Number eight team Notre Dame tonight at ten o’clock….. This will be a fun fun night..
I will have a quick recaps of how the boys did on friday. I want to wish everyone a great Thanksgiving and if you like to shop then have a safe and fun black friday. I know I will.
Until then…Stay fly

Those Carolina Tarheels are keeping the treak is alive and going strong with a strong win against Chaminade University on Monday night for the Maui Invintational! Yes they did beat the home team but If I do say so myself those heels can not be stopped. Hansbrough was really on his game after his season debut against Santa Barbara on Friday Night. Roy Williams must be proud.
The Tarheels advacne to the semi-finals and will play Oregon State tonight.
Until Then….Stay Fly

Close but no cigar for the Gardner-Webb Runnin’ Bulldogs, losing by four points to the twelfth ranked Oklahoma Sooners this past Saturday. The bulldogs came up short against the sooners. No Surprise there, I mean the running bulldogs lost to Virginia Tech an Atlantic Coast Conference team, then Longwood Univeristy, a school in Virginia. With this lost the bulldogs are now 0-3 and second to last in the standings tied with Coastal Carolina. Now if you are a Gardner-Webb fan then this may be a little harsh for you to handle but here it goes…. THIS TEAM IS GOING NOWHERE THE WAY THEY ARE PLAYING….SO GIVE UP. The defense are lagging and from the way sport writers are writing this the boys are getting tired and slacking off when they have the lead. Sorry Boys but you can’t do that.
Many fans thought that if they had beaten a nationally ranked team then it would be a replay of last year’s 16 point domination over Kentucky Wildcats. I hate to say this but the cinderella story is OVER! Time to get back into playing some real basketball. A quote from Oklahoma’s head coach pretty much describe how I feel about the Men’s basketball playing
“Gardner-Webb was tremendous. I felt they played with a sense of urgency. They played like a team that was desperate and hungry for a win. … We played like a team that just thought we had to show up.
“Hopefully we can learn a valuable lesson from this.”
Coach Jeff Capel
This quote was about how close his team came to a lost to the Bulldogs. But reread the first part ” They played like a team that was desperate and hungry for a win” I don’t know if people find that uplifiting our just plain trash talking but something needs to be done…. The Bulldogs(0-3) will end their four away games travel playing the South Carolina Gamecocks this Tuesday November 25th before the first away game at Paul Porter’s Arena November 29th against University of Virginia-Wise…
I hope they can pull out a win. Before they lose fans and potential players for upcoming years
Until Next Time….Stay Fly

Well, it is a good weekend to be a Carolina girl. Friday night, University of Southern California at Santa Barbara, had their game handed to them by Roy Williams and those Tarheels. Univeristy of North Carolina Men’s Basketball remain at Number 1 in all the polls with a 3-0 standing after Friday night’s win.
The Top Scorers were:
UNC-Chapel-Hill
- Ty Lawson 19pts
- Tyler Hansbrough 16pts
- Wayne Ellington 17pts
- Deon Thompson 12pts
- Danny Green 11pts and
- Ed Davis 10pts
USC-Santa Barbara
1. James Nunnally with 22pts
Carolina is off to a great start this season and is going great and in case you haven’t notice Tyler Hansbrough IS BACK! Coach Roy Williams, added Tyler to the starting lineup fifteen mintues before Tipoff. Good Call, considering the fact that 7 footer Tyler Zeller will be out for the rest of the season due to a broken left wrist injury during the Kentucky Game last Tuesday. But never you fear carolina fans. the tarheels are off to an amazing start and will not let us fans down…..
The Carolina Tarheels will play at the Maui Invitational against Charminade University on Monday November 24th… This will be FUN! Then come back to the states to play Big South team UNC-Asheville…. MORE Updates to come
Until Next Time…..Stay Fly

It’s the most wonderful time of the year. Yes, it’s almost Christmas, but its COLLEGE BASKETBALL SEASON! I am going to be an avid Gardner-Webb Univeristy Men’s Basketball fan. but the fact that they are 0-2 I am going to the next best thing……CAROLINA BASKETBALL! I live and breathe it. there is no way to stop it. Anyone who bad mouths those tarhell are going to get it.
So I decided that along with my reviews of movies and music that I will be doing a gameover view of the Carolina Basketball and maybe Gardner-webb’s too.
